4 Corners Phyto

4 Corners Phyto — Four-Species Live Phytoplankton Blend

4 Corners Phyto combines four species of live marine phytoplankton to provide a diverse food source for phytoplankton-feeding copepods, other zooplankton, and suitable filter feeders. Each species contributes a different cell size and nutritional profile, offering greater variety than a single-species culture.

What’s in the Blend

• Nannochloropsis oculata: Small green phytoplankton valued for its EPA content, an omega-3 fatty acid important in marine nutrition.
• Tetraselmis chuii: Motile green phytoplankton that adds larger food particles and nutritional variety.
• Rhodomonas salina: Reddish phytoplankton valued for its nutritional quality, including both EPA and DHA.
• Tisochrysis lutea: Golden phytoplankton known for its DHA content, another important omega-3 fatty acid.

Benefits for Your Aquarium

Live phytoplankton feeds organisms that consume microscopic algae, including copepods, other zooplankton, and suitable filter feeders. These organisms can then become food for fish, corals, and other reef inhabitants, helping support your aquarium’s natural food web.

The four-species blend offers multiple food particle sizes and complementary nutritional profiles to accommodate different feeding preferences. Regular feeding can help nourish phytoplankton-feeding organisms in your display and refugium.

Use & Storage

Shake well before each use to redistribute settled cells. Add to an area with good water movement. Begin with small amounts and adjust as needed based on your aquarium’s size, livestock, and feeding response.

Keep refrigerated. Do not freeze. Some settling is normal.

For marine aquarium use only. Not for human consumption.
